She is the Suits actress, a theatre nerd, was a potential politician and now a Royal fiancé. She is the American TV and film actress Meghan Markle. She has covered many industries for work, some of which include food, travel, fashion, and beauty.  Originally named as Rachel Meghan Markle, she was born on the 4th August 1981 in Los Angeles, California. Her mother is African-American, and father is Dutch-Irish. She is an only child of her parents and is mostly recognized for her character of Rachel Zane in the US TV show Suits which she has been a part of since 2011. The fiancé of Prince Harry will become a member of the Royal British Family.

Her parents Doria Ragland and Thomas Markle separated when Meghan was 6 years old and lived with her Mum who is a Yoga instructor and social worker. Her father worked as an Emmy award-winning lighting director and was the first person to introduce Meghan to showbiz. She was present on the sets of Married…with Children at a young age with her father who also encouraged her to support her own views.

At the age of 11, the feminist in her woke, when she saw a commercial on TV being advertised for a dishwashing soap that was only aimed at women. Not in agreement with the slogan for the ad which was ‘’Women all over America’’ she wrote to company representatives including powerful people like Hilary Clinton and Gloria Allred. Her writing indeed worked and a few days later then slogan was changed to ‘’’People all over America’’. Meghan completed her schooling from an all-girls Catholic High School and also attended the Hollywood Little Red School House.

She graduated from Northwestern University in 2003 with a double major in theatre and international studies. She also thought about giving Politics a try when she took on an internship at the U.S Embassy in Argentina in 2013.

From 2006 to 2007 Markle was a model on the popular TV show Deal or No Deal as a briefcase girl. She had taken up the job so that she could get through the days that she was auditioning for acting roles. Being on the show as stated by her was ‘definitely a learning experience’, and it helped her understand what she really wanted to do’.

In 2011, Meghan tied the knot in Jamaica with film producer Trevor Angelson after dating him for six years but got divorced him after two years of their marriage in 2013. Before meeting Prince Harry she also dated a celebrity chef in Canada named Cory Vitiello.

In 2014 she started her own lifestyle website called The Tig where she focused on topics such as travel, food, fashion, and beauty. The content of the website was written by herself and has always loved to travel. The site was closed down in April 2017 by herself for no apparent reason. Markle also worked as a freelance calligrapher and appreciates handwritten notes which she thinks are a ‘’lost art form’’. Her calligraphy saw her through most of her auditions in Los Angeles and involved in working for Dolce & Gabbana.

In support of the world’s largest interactions children’s charity, Meghan became the World Vision Global Ambassador where she traveled to Rwanda in 2016. She spent time with children and taught them how to paint with watercolors using the clean water from there communal pipe. According to her having access to clean water is not only about being able to drink clean water but also that it keeps young girls in school allowing women to run their own businesses whilst promoting leadership health and creative imagination. Her humanitarian efforts have been commendable and the person she admired the most for their humanitarian work was Princess Diana whom she looked up to as her role model. Markle is also a supporter of adopting rescue dogs and has two pups named Guy and Bogart.

She has also been a part of gender equality projects and volunteering in soup kitchens since the age of 15. Being an advocate of gender quality, she also worked for the United Nations Entity for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women. She supported the Myna Mahila Foundation where women manufacture sanitary pads to sell in communities and openly talked about topics such as menstruation and importance it holds in every community. Markle also delivered a talk with Justin Trudeau at the 2016 Ottawa Canada Summit of One Young Words mission. At the 2014 summit in Dublin, Ireland she was a counselor to promote the creation of positive change.
