7. The First Pizzeria
Pizza wasn’t always popular in America. It wasn’t until after World War II when the former soldiers came back to America with the idea. They were put on duty in Italy and during their stay there they grew to love pizza. In 1905, Lombardi’s (which was originally a grocery store in New York) became the first Pizzeria in America.
